Indialantic Documentary Earns National Award

Telly Awards honor work in film and TV nationwide

The Town won a Silver Telly award

for “Indialantic by-the-

Sea: Portrait of a Community,” a documentary produced

as part of the Town’s 55th anniversary.

Television and cable networks, advertising agencies,

public relations firms, production companies and others

submitted more than 13,000 entries in the 29th Annual

Telly Awards. A sample of other Silver Telly winners

includes NBC, PBS, Warner Bros., Harpo Studios, HBO,

NASA and ESPN.

The documentary was produced by the Indialantic

Heritage Committee, the group of volunteers responsible

for documenting Town history. Featuring interviews with

long-time residents, recent transplants, business owners,

a historian and others, the 20 minute DVD has sold

hundreds of copies since it premiered March 31, 2007.

November 19, 2017 the Indialantic Heritage Committee presented a very timely panel discussion -- 'Lets talk about the weather.'
